Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend booking tickets in advance. We tend to sell out but sometimes have available seats, so to ensure you have a spot, please book in advance, especially if you’re booking for a group.

The easiest way to buy a ticket is via the website, which provides a live update on how many seats are available. You can also call us at 717-378-9193 to make reservations.

Nope! Once you book your tickets, you’re registered on our roster, so we only ask for your name at boarding. It’s always helpful to keep a record of your purchase for yourself, let it be the confirmation email, a screenshot on your phone, or a printed out copy confirming your purchase. We also recommend reading through your confirmation email so you know when and where your tour departs and the rules of the bus.

The tours are 90 minutes long with a 10-minute bathroom break in the middle.

Of course! Our team works incredibly hard to show you the very best of Baltimore. We do it because we truly love to show off our city to visitors and residents alike, so tips are always great appreciated. We recommend tipping between $7 – $15 per person, as the tips are split between the guide and driver.

Each tour will depart and return to the same spot, the street side next to the Baltimore Visitor’s Center (401 Light St, Baltimore, MD 21202). It’s a big purple and orange bus, so you won’t be able to miss it. If you have any questions or can’t see the bus, feel free to ask the staff at the Baltimore Visitor’s Center and they should be able to point you in the right direction. We have also included a screen shot of the departure location on your ticket confirmation. Tours leave on time so we recommend arriving 15-20 minutes prior to your tour start time.

The bus is open air to help you better see and feel Baltimore. In nice weather, we keep the windows open which gives the tour a wonderful breeze. In rainy and cold weather, we close the windows. We have a heater to keep guests warm during the winter months. There are also some blankets to curl up under, so don’t be afraid to tell us if you’re feeling chilly!

Our tours are not a “hop on, hop off” style. There’s a stop halfway through where guests may go to the bathroom.

Unfortunately babies aren’t permitted on the bus.

Unfortunately not. There are steps and the doors are not wide enough, making it difficult for a wheelchair to board. While we will do our best to assist our handicap guests, they should be aware of this limitation before booking. As long as the handicap guest is able to make it to their seat, we have a back area that may be used to store the folded wheelchair during the tour. Please call us to discuss your specific requirements.

While we love pups, they are not permitted on the bus. Our tours can be a bit loud and crazy, so it’s best if your pets are left at home. Service dogs are permitted on the bus, but please let us know beforehand so we can inform our guide and driver that you will be bringing your helpful service dog.

There is no space for luggage on the bus. There is space under the seat in front of you for a small backpack or bag. If you need a size larger than that please make accommodations beforehand.
